These are some of my favorite New Jersey wedding venues — the ones I'd point any couple toward first. Each of the four below is a place I've actually filmed a real wedding, so what you see is exactly what your own day could look like there.

Princeton, NJ

Jasna Polana

As a wedding videographer with 10 years behind the camera, I've filmed on-site at Jasna Polana enough to know exactly how this Princeton estate's light holds up, how the grounds move through an afternoon, and how a day here actually flows. Set on rolling countryside just outside Princeton, Jasna Polana pairs a grand clubhouse with wide-open grounds — golden-hour light across the lawns, a stately interior for the reception, and plenty of room to let a wedding day breathe. It's a venue built for a film that leans into exactly that scale and light. My favorite part of filming here is always the exploring — the gardens have so many nooks and crannies to wander into between portraits, and I never get tired of framing a shot around the iconic gates or the grand staircase.

We love that it's a true private estate — 230 acres of rolling countryside give a wedding day room to breathe, with light that holds up beautifully on camera all afternoon.
The reception's circular Travertine Room is one of my favorite room shapes I've filmed in New Jersey — wrapped in marble and glass with panoramic golf-course views.
I always tell couples here that both indoor and outdoor ceremony options mean the day's flow can adapt to weather without losing that estate feel.
On-site overnight accommodations mean out-of-town family can actually stay right where the wedding happens — one less thing for me to coordinate around on the timeline.

Woodland Park, NJ

Westmount Country Club

Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park brings a polished, classic country-club backdrop to North Jersey weddings — manicured grounds outside, elegant ballroom light inside. It gives us both: quiet outdoor portraits before the room opens up for a full reception film.

The gazebo, fountain, and waterfall out on the grounds are a built-in ceremony backdrop that does half the composition work before the vows even start.
Floor-to-ceiling windows in the Grand Ballroom catch Garret Mountain in the background at golden hour — a reception film that practically shoots itself.
Two distinct rooms under one roof: the Grand Ballroom's marble-and-chandelier glow versus the Continental Room's warmer, more intimate tone.
A cobblestone drive and wrought-iron entrance set an old-world country-club tone from the very first frame.

Whitehouse Station, NJ

The Ryland Inn

The Ryland Inn in Whitehouse Station is one of New Jersey's most storied wedding venues — a historic country inn with landscaped grounds and a reception space built for a classic, romantic film. It's one of our favorite venues for what it gives a couple on camera.

Our Favorite Things About This Venue

The Grand Ballroom's original woodwork, tall windows, and fireplace glow give us gorgeous natural texture on camera without adding much of our own lighting.
The 200-year-old Coach House barn — original silo and exposed beams intact — is a completely different visual world just steps from the main house, for couples who want something more rustic.
Ten acres of gardens and fire pits almost always give us an outdoor ceremony or a golden-hour portrait backdrop.
Getting-ready moments happen right on-site in the property's historic cottages, not a generic hotel room.

Comfortably hosts up to 240 guests in the Grand Ballroom, or a more intimate 200 in the historic Coach House barn.

Hamburg, NJ

Crystal Springs Resort

Tucked into the mountains of Hamburg, about an hour from New York City, Crystal Springs Resort trades the usual ballroom backdrop for sweeping, wooded views and open-air light. It's a venue that leans into that scale — a film shaped as much by the landscape as by the day itself.

Our Favorite Things About This Venue

The scale hands us wide-open frames most New Jersey venues can't — mountain overlooks, wooded ceremony gardens, and golf-course sightlines all in play.
It's a resort, not just a reception hall, so we're filming a real weekend — spa mornings, golf, and getting-ready shots in actual suites, not a hotel room.
Matched indoor/outdoor options at every property mean weather is never a plan B — a garden ceremony always has a ballroom backup close by.
Multiple event spaces across the property mean no two Crystal Springs weddings we've filmed look quite the same.

A resort built to scale — from intimate gatherings of around 100 guests up to large celebrations of 400 or more, spread across several event spaces on the property.
